August 4 through October 13, join us at Lake Hemet for the Great Carp Round-Up! We are excited to announce what will be an ongoing effort over the next 11 weeks to clear a tremendous amount of carp out of Lake Hemet. We need your help to accomplish it.HERE ARE THE DETAILS:Every Sunday both day use guests and overnight campers are invited to participate in a carp catching derby to remove as many carp as possible. HOURS: Derby will run from 7am to 10pmCOST: Registration is FREE. Day Use guests still pay $25 per vehicle entry fee. WHO? Anglers of all ages. WHAT? All day carp derby with prizes for registrants who collect the most carp that day. WHERE? Carp derby will take place in a specific area where there is a large concentration of carp at Lake Hemet. WHY? The amount of carp we have are negatively impacting the lake and it’s time to make a concerted effort to rid the lake of as many as possible.
